LT1 Out, LGH In (maybe?)

On the 4th of July the Roadmaster drove itself on the hoist and looked like this…

About 24 hours later it looked like this

Well that wasn’t so bad – at this rate we’ll be done by Christmas 🙂

The same thing happened to the 2012 Chassis a couple weeks earlier

Starting with two complete running/driving vehicles has made this project much easier, any little brackets, wiring harnesses, connectors, accessories, etc are all there.  At this point I’m feeling good – making quick work of the dis-assembly thus far, no major issues rearing their head at this point.  This is the “honeymoon” phase :).

Once I set the two engines/transmissions side by side, I had a “what did I get myself into” moment (or two).

With a little work, a dash of creativity and a whole lot of persistence, I promise it does fit, and no, there’s not a 6″ cowl induction hood on it either.

If I have not lost your interest thus far, you’re probably a real gearhead (or psychologist looking for a case study).  Either way, there are many more installments with tons of details coming up.  Thanks for reading and please comment below with any questions, feedback, suggestions, etc
